Overview
Tesamorelin is a synthetic analog of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It consists of the full 44-amino acid sequence of endogenous GHRH with a trans-3-hexenoic acid modification at the N-terminus that increases plasma stability by reducing enzymatic degradation via dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPP-IV). This modification extends the compound half-life compared to native GHRH without altering receptor binding characteristics.
